HIGHLIGHTS
Oceanside Alive Banner Project and Auction is sponsored by the MainStreet Oceanside. The banners will hang on Coast Hwy 101, north of Wisconsin Ave.
Local artists participate by creating one of a kind banners depicting what Oceanside means to them.
Each year, the Arts Alive program culminates in a grand Banner Auction and Freedom Days Parade Fundraiser Dinner. This year the event will be held in May.
Oceanside Alive Banner Project is one in over 30 California cities which promote art and community in their own unique way by hanging the 30" x 84" vinyl banners along Coast Highway. The idea promotes driving the coast and walking the streets to view each city’s banners; bringing art and community together in our downtowns.
The banner project culminates in the annual Oceanside Arts Alive Banner Auction and Fireworks fundraiser. This year’s auction will be held on a date to be announced. At the fundraiser, banners are auctioned off and proceeds are split 50/50 between the artist and MSO. The money raised by the Arts Alive portion of this event goes directly into promoting the arts in Downtown Oceanside and helps offset the costs for this year’s project.
